Silver Sands, located in Greenport, NY, is in search of Housemen to join our growing team. Opening Summer 2023, Silver Sands is a unique destination for respite and revelry, welcoming locals, travelers, and drop-in visitors alike.
The mission of this role is to achieve high guest satisfaction by enabling seamless daily operations. The Houseman will aid arriving and departing guests, assist with onsite setup and breakdown of daily activities, and maintain the visual aesthetic of the grounds.
KEY FUNCTIONS
- Arrive at work area on time and in uniform
- Assists arriving and departing guests with luggage if requested
- Establish a beautiful, safe, and secure environment by ensuring that grounds are maintained and furniture is tended to
- Support room breakdown following guest departure as outlined in standard operating procedures
- Attend to room maintenance issues on a timely basis
- Complete various onsite tasks assigned by supervisor
- Manage daily task list and update various reports to correctly
Essential Functions
- Able to lift 30+ lbs.
- Ability to effectively listen, communicate with customers and staff in all situations.
- Polished personal presentation: grooming meets Company standards, as outlined by Employee Handbook
- Able to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the business
- Ability to walk, stand, and/or bend continuously and for extended periods as required to perform essential job functions
- Ability to perform essential job functions under pressure while maintain professionalism at all times
- Demonstrated ability to work well with cross-functional groups backgrounds
- Attend all mandatory team meetings and training sessions
