Overview:

Rumson Country Club is a family-oriented, private, New Jersey Country Club located on the banks of the Navesink River in central Monmouth County, New Jersey. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Houseman to join our housekeeping team!

The Housekeeping Department plays an important role in ensuring guest satisfaction by delivering outstanding service and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the Club. The Housekeeping team takes great care in the quality of the environment with attention to detail to ensure all members and guests have a clean and welcoming experience.

Job Summary:

The Houseman will uphold cleanliness and safety standards for our current facilities.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Performs general cleaning and sanitizing tasks and services throughout assigned property.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, the following: dining areas, hallways, bedrooms, lobbies, stairways and other areas of the club on an as needed basis.
• Set up tables and chairs following a floor plan. This may include setting up of AV equipment, stripping the room of all its furniture and resetting the room per the specifications outlined by the BEO (Banquet Event Order).
• Properly cares for, moves, and stores equipment, such as tables, chairs, and room supplies, such as linen, pads, pens/pencils, etc.
• Discard garbage in a sanitary matter
• Wipe/clean windows
• Assist housekeepers upon request
• Transport
• Vacuums and cleans floors, rugs, furniture, and drapes.
• Stocks towels, washcloths, and hand towels in bathrooms.
• Picks up and empties trash containers.
• Notifies maintenance if something is not working properly.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Must be able to work nights and weekends.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking and frequently pulling, pushing, and bending.
• The position requires mobility. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, kneel, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, communicate, reach, and manipulate objects.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at times.
