We are seeking an experienced, successful, and engaged Human Resources Director to join our team. This position is expected to work out of our office at 610 E. Gish Rd. and limited job-related travel may be required.
Position Summary:
The Human Resource Director will manage, direct, develop, plan, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resource and Payroll departments, ensuring legal compliance, internal development.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee and manage the HR Department and Payroll Department.
- Knowledge and experience of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, worker’s compensation, payroll, training, internal investigations, compensation and benefits, labor relations, M&A experience and negotiation, leaves management, M&A experience, and personnel information systems.
- Assist with strategic planning, resource allocation, human resource modeling, leadership techniques, production methods and coordination of people and resources.
- Maintain awareness of changes in business needs internally (within organization), externally (within industry), change in law and agency rules.
- Implement best practice and external perspectives to strategic and operational business discussions and people management decision-making.
- Develop internal training and communication to ensure management compliance across all sites and companies.
- Educate, influence, and advocate Company performance philosophy and practices within the business to ensure fairness and consistency and inspire stronger employee and organizational performance.
- Advise leaders when dealing with employee relations issues. Work with management teams to understand trends in employee performance issues and advise on appropriate remediation.
- Provide change management strategy aimed at supporting the organization; customizing the strategy as appropriate to meet business needs.
- Ensure mandatory reporting requirements, internal audits and external audits are completed on a timely basis.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Ability to work with senior management and executives in projects and implementation of new policies/changes.

- Basic understanding of human behavior and performance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- At least five (5) years of management experience.
- PHR or SHPR certification preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Bilingual in Spanish
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
CERTIFICATES, LICENCES, REGISTRATIONS
- Valid Class C Driver’s License
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.- Must be able to lift up to fifteen pounds at times.
- Travel within California required up to 20% of the time.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Typical work week is Monday through Friday. Semi-frequent early morning, evening and weekend calls/correspondence may be required to address urgent matters. Might be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and odors/smells. Ability to work in setting where constant changes may occur, time constraints and communicating with upper management is crucial.
