HR Finance Analyst


HR Finance Operations Analyst

Reporting to the Executive Vice President of Finance, this position will serve in a leadership capacity for people operations functions in the Finance / Human Resources department. Your focus will be to build streamlined and scalable processes benefits, and payroll, while providing a subject matter expert from a system and analytical perspective with the ability to offer business solutions by leveraging HR systems. This role is a hands-on role, and is critical in meeting initiatives, creating functional excellence, and process improvement.

What You'll Do:

  • Ownership of critical projects, such as data analysis for Senior leaders that will help us assess current and future state of benefit, use, costs, etc.
  • Insurance audit and renewals
  • Census for various vendor requests
  • Review New Hire Report for pay rates, benefit packages, any rehires
  • Review all Change of Status for discrepancies
  • Verify EE PTO availability
  • Set up any new PTO accrual packages
  • Adjust rehire benefit accruals
  • Recategorize employee benefit accruals for transfers
  • Enter garnishments for child support deductions
  • Monthly Census
  • Verify union deductions are assigned
  • 32BJ Audits

Who You Are:

  • Strong ability to focus on delivering exceptional HR service
  • Detailed understanding of HR function, talent acquisition processes, and best practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to combine attention to detail with big picture perspective
  • Able to develop effective working relationships with various and diverse partners
  • Team player who is willing to pitch in and help wherever necessary
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and can operate with flexibility
  • Ability to convey information with an adaptable communication style
  • Takes initiative, and use problem-solving skills to think beyond the task to the outcome that needs to be achieved.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years process improvement design experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of HR system experience
  • 3+ year experience with report creation, dashboard development, process improvement
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data analytics with exposure to HR metrics
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Analytics, other relevant degree.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Multi-task oriented and ability to work under pressure
  • Good project management skills, attention to detail and discretion handling confidential information
