Reports to Human Resources Group Leader


Primary Duties:

  • Demonstrates a high level of commitment to providing a safe and equitable workplace.
  • Partners with employees and management to communicate and administer various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations. Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment and pay.
  • Responsible for maintaining confidentiality of employee issues and positive relationship with team members in efforts to support a team-based environment.
  • Manages payroll approval, oversight and employee payroll changes in HRIS, working closely with corporate payroll personnel.
  • Supports all administrative facets of the HR function including time off and attendance policy – utilizing and maintaining the HRIS systems and other records.
  • Coordinates new hires and conversions, facilitates new employee orientations.
  • Assist employees and managers in problem resolution including problem solving, investigations, and exit interviewing. Makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate employee engagement activities. Verify and ensure all communication centers are maintained in an orderly fashion with up to date materials
  • Coordinates the interviewing, hiring, and selection of hourly and non-exempt team members. Manage the plant-wide job-posting program including posting/removal of the open position and communication to team members and team leaders/managers regarding movement in a timely manner.
  • Maintain headcount reporting and KPI metrics (overtime, turnover, absenteeism), resolving problems and answering questions to ensure accurate information.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications Required:


  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management (or related field) or minimum five years HR experience in a similar role.
  • 3-5 years progressive experience in Human Resources
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with a variety of levels within an organization, presentation/public speaking experience, demonstrated high level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of applicable State and Federal employment laws.
  • Attention to detail and follow up
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and schedules
  • Advanced computer literacy with a high degree of accuracy including experience in Microsoft office and HRIS/Payroll systems.

Qualifications Desired:


  • PHR or SHRM-CP Certification.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Manufacturing work experience, preferably Automotive.
