JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Responsible for developing and implementing Entergy's short and long term strategy on key labor imperatives for the Nuclear, Transmission, Distribution, and Power Generation business lines. Serve as a labor relations subject matter expert, advisor, strategist, and mentor responsible for negotiating labor contracts, providing expertise on the negotiation process, and ensuring compliance with labor law bargaining requirements.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serves as a lead in the end-to-end process of collective bargaining, including but not limited to preparation, execution of negotiations, and implementation of the collective bargaining agreement
- Develops strategies to successfully accomplish company objectives despite extent of unionization, provide on-going advice to senior leadership and managers at all levels on contract-related questions, creatively trouble-shoot issues to accomplish company goals while minimizing union-associated risk
- Maintains positive relationships with Union Leadership by ensuring engagement regarding regarding enterprise and business unit-specific changes/initiatives
- Collects and analyzes data on wages, benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment for development of goals of negotiations process; provides advice and support to line budget and costing analysts to ensure consistency in contract costing across sites
- Within the Labor Relations department, serves as subject matter expert (SME) and mentor on labor contract interpretation, responses to grievances, and bargained and non-bargained issues
- Assures compliance with corporate directives to negotiating teams; assists team and management to ensure newly ratified contracts are understood and properly implemented by all relevant functions (line, HR, Total Rewards, etc.) policies. Consults and coordinates with the Legal department in accordance with established areas of responsibilities between HR Labor Relations and the Legal department. Supports additional areas such as adherence to M&A review, EEO, wage & hour, ERISA, OSHA, corporate compliance and relations with state and federal agencies.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position
Bachelor's degree in related field or the equivalent work experience.
JD/MBA/MS in law and/or labor relations is a plus.

10+ years
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position
Demonstrated working knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws and regulations, including but not limited to, NLRA, LMRA, LMRDA, EEO, ADA, ADEA, FLSA, Title VII and FMLA

Requires depth and/or breadth of expertise in own specialized discipline or field.
