ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Partners with team and management to develop, recommend, and communicate various human resources policies, procedures, and standards
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws, including maintaining employee records in the HR management system through the entire employee lifecycle
  • Collaborates with departments to understand and articulate the skills and competencies necessary for employee success at the organization
  • Helps respond to employee relations issues, such as employee complaints, harassment allegations, and other possible Title VII rights violations
  • Helps administer and provides guidance to employees on benefits programs, such as 403(b) plans; medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; temporary disability; and other existing company benefits
  • Provides support to management and other staff when complex and sensitive situations arise, such as ADA accommodations, investigations, and terminations
  • Conducts exit interviews, analyzes data, and makes recommendations to management for continuous improvement
  • Represents Fragrance.com for any unemployment and Workers Compensation claims
  • Partners with Recruitment to update or rewrite job descriptions as necessary
  • Benefits liaison for reconciliation, invoices and feeds as well as broker contact
  • Participates in administrative staff and other organization meetings
  • Conducts new hire orientation and onboarding follow-up for new hires
  • Contributes to department initiatives and established goals
  • Keeps apprised of new trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and labor law
  • Performs other duties as assigned


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Full understanding of HR policies and procedures
  • Excellent organizational skills and particular attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal customers at all levels
  • Proficiency with the organization’s HRIS, talent management and Benefits system (Paycor), similar systems, or the technical ability and willingness to learn quickly
  • Computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently and complete assignments within parameters of instructions, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Strong business acumen and relationship management

REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND CREDENTIALS:
Undergraduate degree in Human Resources or an equivalent field required
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Human Resources required
  • SHRM-CP highly desired
