Human Resources Adminstrator/Coordinator Job at North Texas Behavioral Health Authority (NTBHA)
NTBHA is the Local Behavioral Health Authority (LBHA) contracted by Texas Human Services Commission (HHSC) to provide mental health and substance use disorder services to qualified indigent consumers in our six-county region of Dallas, Ellis, Hunt, Kaufman, Navarro, and Rockwall Counties.
We are responsible for developing a collaborative system of care for individuals in crisis in the NTBHA service area. We are focused on trauma-informed, resilience-oriented care in all services provided.
This position’s actions and work must align with NTBHA values and goals, regulations, and policies and procedures, and meet all documentation standards and regulatory requirements.
Summary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Administers health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
- Assists with new-employee background checks.
- Reconciles benefits statements.
- Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs.
- Processing of terminations.
- Assists with recruitment and interview process. Tracks status of candidates in HRIS and responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process.
Essential Skills, Knowledge, Abilities
- Possess an extensive amount of broad HR expertise and knowledge.
- Understand and practice at an elevated level of customer service philosophy.
- Knowledge of HRIS systems, specifically ADP and Relias or similar systems.
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
- Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills are essential.
- Must be able to operate with minimum supervision.
- Ability to interact professionally with all levels within and outside the organization.
- Proactive and takes ownership for producing positive results.
- Prominent level of organizational skills, time management, analysis and implementation, facilitation, and process development.
- Must be able to maintan confidentiality.
- Must have strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.
Education, Training and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from a 4-year college or university. HR concentration preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in Human Resources in multiple disciplines of HR.
- Extensive knowledge of human resource functions, including, but not limited to employment, compensation practices, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
