Job Summary


Chandler-Gilbert Community College seeks a Human Resources Analyst. The ideal candidate is someone who seeks to build collaboration, understands the importance of policy research, and has a strong background managing employee relation case loads. The Human Resources Analyst coordinates and performs independently advanced level professional, technical and analytical work involved in the implementation and maintenance of Human Resources programs at Chandler-Gilbert Community College. The HR Analyst may occasionally serve as project lead, and may supervise HR staff in absence of HR Director.

Essential Functions


50% - Case manages employee relations issues, leaves, ADA, and performance management; interprets and applies policy language to inquiries and situations, requires a detailed knowledge of human resources policies and procedures, partners with department managers to provide a high volume of employee relations support. This includes coaching, counseling, conflict resolution, and ensuring the consistent management of situations requiring corrective action and performance management task, is up to date in and maintains compliance with pertinent federal laws and legislation such as ADA, FMLA, FLSA, EEO/AA, I-9, E-Verify, records management, and other state and college policies, procedures, rules and regulations; advises employees and administrators on Human Resources policies and procedures.


25% - Coordinates, facilitates college training and development programs including coaching, development, employee curriculum and onboarding; completes reclassifications and reallocations, including reports, analysis, and processing; Oversee, coordinate, and manage employee separations and applicable offboarding activities including exit interviews, provide guidance to employees, supervisors and managers to resolve a variety of academic and non-academic benefit related issues of high scope and complexity.

15% - Tracks and maintains performance measurements and metrics pertaining to recruitment, the employment process, succession and strategic planning, case management (employee relations, leaves), performance management, among others; utilizes data in recommendations for efficiencies, gaps, and program adjustments; benchmarks data internally and externally.


10% - Special projects - including researching, creating, testing, recommending and implementing approved programs to ensure best practices and success in all college human resources functions, reviews and revises HR college guidelines and HR processes; assists with college employee events and employee onboarding; designs, develops and maintains HR website.


5% -Oversees the human resource team in the absence of Human Resources Director; develops plans for new processes and procedures for the college community; performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications


Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in human resources or related field and two (2) years of professional level human resources experience which includes specialized knowledge of human resources policies and practices related to the administration and implementation of employee relations and training and development

OR

Associate’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution and four (4) years of professional level human resources experience which includes specialized knowledge of human resources policies and practices related to the administration and implementation of employee relations and training and development

OR

High School Diploma/GED and six (6) years of professional level human resources experience which includes specialized knowledge of human resources policies and practices related to the administration and implementation of employee relations and training and development

Desired Qualifications


1. Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Organizational Management, or related field.

2. Demonstrated experience leading employee relations management (conducting investigations, coaching, conflict resolution, employee engagement)

3. Demonstrated experience providing consultation on leaves management and potential disability cases (FMLA, ADA, Short term disability)

4. Demonstrated experience Coordinating and facilitating training and development programs.

5. Experience working in a public sector and/or educational environment

6. Experience with Peoplesoft or other related Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).

7. Experience utilizing tools (Google Suite, Miccrosoft office, etc) to track and analzye data pertaining to employee relations and performance management.

Special Working Conditions

  • Will be required to travel or work at multiple MCCCD sites or locations
  • May require prolonged periods of viewing a computer screen
  • May be required to work evening and weekend hours.
