General Description
The Human Resources Assistant will act primarily as the support function for the corporate human resources and payroll teams. The HR/P Assistant is responsible for administrative support related to the HR and Payroll departments especially in the areas of onboarding, new hire paperwork, timekeeping and other HR/Payroll projects as assigned.
Position Outline
- Assists department in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures.
- Coordinates new employee orientations for the corporate office.
- Assist HR Specialist/Generalist and Recruiters with the new hire process.
- Responds to department inquiries from employees and managers.
- Assist with processing PCNs for title, salary, supervisor, and personal information changes.
- Runs reports from HRIS system.
- Completes duties related to benefits enrollment and orientation.
- Updates timekeeping.
- Processing company payrolls.
- Assists with file audits and other audits.
- Acts as back up in dept as needed.
- The HR Assistant requires professionalism, confidentiality and must be reliable.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 1 – 2 years related experience.
- Some knowledge of principles and practices of human resources/payroll.
- Prior experience with an HRIS database preferred.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
- Proficiency in MS Office required

- Sit for extended periods of time
- Talk on phone for extended periods of time
- View information on a PC for extended periods of time
