May Institute is currently seeking an experienced Human Resources for professional to manage a range of HR operations including employee relations, investigations, performance management, benefit administration and leave of absences for the employees of our May Center School for Brain Injury and Neurobehavioral Disorders in Norwood, MA.

The organization is one of the largest and most well-respected providers of services and special education schools for children and adults with autism and other special needs in Massachusetts and in the U.S. Please note this is an in-person position 4 days a week with the option of 1 remote day.
  • The position will report to the Divisional HR Business Partner, and will function as the primary HR Business Partner for the Center.
  • Support business initiatives and collaborate with the leadership team
  • Manage employee relations; guide and counsel managers on employee relations issues
  • Conduct workplace investigations and navigate confidential situations with professionalism and expertise
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws as well as company policies and procedures
  • Provide expertise on health and welfare benefits programs, performance management, staff development and employee engagement
  • Participate in the onboarding process for and oversee the recruitment and HR operations processes for May Center MCR
  • Collect HR metrics and work closely with central Talent Acquisition and Training teams to fill position
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; PHR or SPHR strongly preferred
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in Human Resources operations, employee relations and employment law Strong writing and communication skills
  • Strong workplace investigations skills is a MUST
  • Proven ability to function independently and as part of a team
