Since the demand for our training has soared, we have an immediate need to expand our Human Resources Team. We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist who will be responsible for administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS entry. This person will be a critical member of the human resources team, reporting to the Senior Vice President of Human Resources. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of human resources generalist experience, strong communications skills, and a collaborative mindset.

Key Responsibilities

Compensation & Benefits

  • Assists with preparing, deploying, and concluding the annual performance review process.
  • Process 401k contributions on a semi-monthly basis.
  • Assists with the administration of employee benefits.
  • Acts as a backup to the benefits lead and may act as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, including health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
  • Manages workers’ compensation policies, procedures, and any claims for U.S. and Canada.
  • Manages unemployment insurance classifications and claims.
  • Act as the point of contact for the Canadian employees (4) related to benefits questions, concerns, troubleshooting, renewals and putting the plan to bid.

HRIS & Payroll

  • Maintains employee records, ensuring completion and accuracy of details such as employee contact information, job classification, titles, pay rates, organizational structure, and other key details.
  • Files documents into appropriate, electronic employee files.
  • Train to run payroll as a backup to the accounting department. Will assist with answering employee questions and correcting processing errors.
  • Run reports as requested from the HRIS system.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Conducts or assists new hire orientation.
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, etc.
  • Maintain employee self-service portal with current policies, benefits information, handbook, etc.

Employee & Human Resources Support

  • Monitor the HR at Traliant email box and be the first point of contact related to general HR questions.
  • Answers frequently asked questions from employees about standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
  • Assist with updating and maintaining Company Policy Handbook.
  • Assist HR team members with projects and assignments as needed.

Employee Engagement

  • Assist with coordinating employee meetings and group events, preparing agendas, and sending calendar invites.
  • Will be the HR representative in attendance at quarterly meetings with the Employee engagement committee and assist in scheduling meetings and company-wide events.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Minimum two years of experience in a generalist role.
  • SHRM-CP credential preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and strong presentation skills. Comfortable with being on camera during internal and external meetings.
  • Proven ability to manage time and workload from a remote/home based office.

Compensation: $60,000 -$70,000 annual salary. Eligible to participate in Traliant’s discretionary bonus program, subject to the terms and conditions of such program, which Traliant may modify or discontinue at any time in its sole discretion. Traliant has sole discretion to determine whether to award a bonus and the amount of any bonus.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This role does not have any direct reports.
