Job Summary
The HVAC, Refrigeration & Equipment Tech will be focused on performing preventative maintenance and repairs on Commercial HVAC Units, refrigerators, and light industrial equipment. This will involve maintaining equipment parts and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level as well as anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies because of analytical information process and trends. ensuring that all assigned locations are compliant with OSHA and DOC laws. This position will report to the Field Facilities Leader. Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as needed to maintain efficient and safe conditions for company employees and guests.

Essential Job Functions
  • Troubleshooting the electronic and electrical components
  • Repair and Preventive Maintenance for Commercial HVAC Units
  • Locating source of problems by observing mechanical devices in operations and listening for problems
  • Providing daily reports and communicate regularly with facilities leader.
  • Removing defective parts by dismantling devices, using hand and power tools and, examining form and texture of parts
  • Manage site preparation for regulatory inspections, being on site for all such inspections.
  • Work with the Director of Safety to ensure that we are operating a safe environment for our customers and co-workers.
  • Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with OSHA and DOC laws and rules.
  • Attend and pass all training sessions as assigned.
  • Utilize the maintenance management system for tasks, actions, follow up and close out of assignments and work orders.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of Local, State and Federal guidelines
  • Analyze and interpret documents such as regulations, safety bulletins, operational/equipment manuals, and written directives.
  • Add value to the company by reducing time, improving on time percentage completion of assigned work orders, and fixing things right the first time.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma
  • Minimum 2 years HVAC, refrigerators and equipment experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Outlook, Word and Excel)
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills and judgement
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations essential.
  • Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model.
  • Treat co-workers and direct reports with respect while communicating well and working with management to accomplish goals and give honest feedback to continue to better the company.
  • Willing to accept and embrace change and promote and act in a manner that projects a positive image.
  • Well organized and able to handle multiple things at the same time.
  • Self-Motivated and able to work efficiently without direct supervision.
