*JOB SUMMARY* The Intensive Care Unit here at Saint Joseph Hospital is a ten bed closed Unit specializing in treating a general population of patients with a variety of medical, surgical, and trauma conditions that require constant care and close observation. The ICU team is a multidisciplinary team made up of highly qualified and skilled Intensivists, Specialists, Mid-levels, Nurses, LNA’s, Respiratory Therapists, and Pharmacists that are dedicated in delivering the best quality care to our patients. The Registered Nurse is an essential member of the patient care team who is responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process in all assigned areas. The RN will be required to assess patients upon admission using appropriate interview techniques to obtain past medical history, current medical status, vital signs, lab work, x-rays and other diagnostic test.
