The Role

We are looking for an Income Tax Staff to become an essential part of an effective tax team. As an Income Tax Staff, you will join our team of talented tax professionals to help clients make decisions, reduce their effective tax rates, and timely prepare their income tax filings. At times you will work directly with clients, but you will mostly interact with the rest of the team and our internal accounting managers. You will be exposed to the entire tax return preparation process from planning to filing of mostly corporate income tax returns. You will perform tax research, understand, and present your findings and recommend the proper course of action for your clients. You will work with the team on multiple clients at the same time that all have the same deadline. This individual will work with and report to the Income Tax Manager. This is a unique opportunity to work across multiple organizations and companies as they grow and scale.

Your Typical, Atypical, Day

• Collaborate daily as part of a high-performing income tax team.

• Work closely with the income tax team to streamline the data gathering process.

• Assist in data gathering efforts.

• Prepare and maintain workpapers in compliance with internal policies.

• Input all or part of the data needed to complete the income tax returns into our tax software system.

• Assist with maintaining files in compliance with internal policies.

• Identify opportunities for cross selling to our indirect tax team.

About You

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Tax.

• EA, CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction) preferred.

• Experience in the preparation of income tax returns (prefer at least 1 year).

• Experience with Google office products and income tax software.

• Ability to successfully work on multiple client engagements simultaneously.

• Ability to work remotely and possess time management skills needed to meet firm deadlines.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong analytical, research, and critical thinking skills.
