JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Overview

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Inspect electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
• If applicable; Must complete all required Environmental training specific to this job

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Preferred: 2+ years of previous industrial electrical experience working in a manufacturing/warehouse, military, or related environment.
• Must be able to interact with all personnel levels, follow all work directives and safety procedures.
• Must work with others in a professional, respectful manner
• Ability to read policies and procedures; most of which are in English. Must be able to read and communicate moderately in English.

-The plant environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals.

• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision includes close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
• Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
