We are seeking an Industrial Equipment Cleaner to join our Industrial Cleaning Team.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to work well with others.

Primary Duties The primary duties of the employee are (but not limited to) the following:

• Follow all safety rules and procedures, including lockout/tagout procedures.
• Wear PPE, safety glasses, hearing protection etc.
• Light janitorial duties.
• Blow off all machines.
• Clean fiber from shafts, bearing, motors and aprons on garnetts, cross lappers, hoppers, blend lines, pickers and distributors.
• Hand card and clean spray aprons and pans.
• Chiseling off dried resin and build up on floor and equipment.
• Clean oven including ductwork, floor, flues, rods, fans, motors, and walls.
• Flapping off fiber buildup on ceiling, equipment and walls.
• Sweep entire floor of plant.
• Bag waste and place in compactor and compact all waste.
• Clean corners in plant.
• Check the level of oil in the oilers and inform maintenance if oil is needed.
• Be sure all filters are cleaned and in place before startup of shift.
• Clean, vacuum and sweep front/general offices.
• Empty trash in from/general offices.
• Clean, sweep, and mop front/general office bathrooms.
• The yard must be policed once a week, especially around the front office entrance, employee entrances, smoking areas and the area around the railroad tracks. Keep steps free of debris.
• Empty and return all carts that are used for cleaning duties. All tools must be put away each day.
• Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformity related to product, process and the system.
• Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and the quality system.
• Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.
• Verify the implementation of solutions.
• Control further processing, delivery, or installation of non-conforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
• Participate in the continuous Quality improvement process.
• Communication-Daily contact with the supervisors, line operators, and maintenance to discuss problem areas associated with cleaning and relay problems that may need action by other departments. Any broken or damaged equipment need to be reported the supervisor or maintenance.
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor and/or lead person
• Keep a clean and orderly work place
