PURPOSE OF POSITION

Task and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for preventative maintenance, diagnosis and repair all mechanicals, hydraulics, electrical and CNC electronics on manufacturing machinery, material handling systems, cranes, forklifts, dust collection system, and the physical plant
• Train operators on preventative maintenance Maintain a work order system
• Layout, installation, and start-up of project work
• Organize and maintain spare parts inventory
• Understand the operation of pneumatics, hydraulics and general mechanics
• Adhere to Nortrak’s Safety, Quality and Environmental Procedures, Practices and Policies

Physical Demands:

• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or climbing.
• Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
• Regularly lift and move up to 10-15 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 70 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Hearing abilities related to job assigned.

Job Requirements (e.g. education, experience, skills and desired competencies)

• High School graduate or GED preferred
• Vocational technical training in mechanical related field is preferred
• 3 years of maintenance experience preferred
• Must be able to score the minimum required on the corporate maintenance test
• Forklift and Crane certification preferred
