Purpose and Scope of Position:
The Infection Prevention Program Manager RN is responsible for the effective management and operation of the Infection Prevention and Control Program for EPH. The IP RN will utilize evidence-based practices such as those published by the CDC, APIC, AAMI, SHEA and OSHA. Additionally, the IP RN ensures compliance with regulations and requirements from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Det Norske Veritas (DNV), other accrediting healthcare organizations, and state regulations.
Shift:
Full Time, Monday- Friday, 8hr shifts
Work From Home Hybrid – Once Orientation is complete, Employee is allowed to WFH at least one day a week. (25% of week at home, 75% of week in office)
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Conduct analysis and formulate conclusions
- Differentiate between colonization and infection
- Differentiate between prophylactic, empiric, and therapeutic uses of antimicrobials.
- Foster effective working relationships and build consensus
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Plan, organize, prioritize, work independently, and meet deadlines
- Work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of adult learning concepts.
- Work proficiently with Microsoft Office.
Education and Experience:
- Five years of clinical or related experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing; Master’s degree preferred
- Must possess a valid Colorado RN license or a valid multistate RN license through the Nurse Licensure Compact
- Membership in APIC (Associate of Professional in Infection Control and Epidemiology) and SHEA (Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America)
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) achieved within one year in the position
Hiring Range:
$34.76 – $43.45, depending on experience.
