Basic Function:

This part-time job is responsible for ensuring the appropriate operational security posture is maintained for an information system and as such, works in close collaboration with the ISSM and the FSO. The position shall have the detailed knowledge and expertise required to manage the security aspects of an information system and, in many organizations, is assigned responsibility for the day-to-day security operations of a system. This also will include physical and environmental protection, personnel security, incident handling, and security training and awareness. It will be required to work in close coordination with the ISSM and FSO in monitoring the information system(s) and its environment of operation to include developing and updating the authorization documentation. This will include assessing the security impact of those changes and making recommendation to the ISSM. The primary function is supporting Department of Defense (DoD) agencies. The position will provide “day-to-day” support for Collateral activities.

Responsibilities:
1. User activity monitoring network activity, either automated or manual.
2. Implement Information sharing procedures
3. Maintain continuous monitoring program
4. Conduct Security assessment reports
5. Security configuration checklists
6. Verify the implementation of the contractor’s information system security program as delegated by the ISSM.
7. Ensure continuous monitoring strategies and verify corrective actions to the ISSM

9. Maintaining continuous awareness of the current state of information system security.
10. Supporting reciprocity of information system authorizations.
11. Perform other related job duties, as assigned.

Experience:
Required:

  • 2-4 years related experience
  • Prior experience in similar Information Security roles

Preferred:

  • Understanding of NIST and CMMC requirements
  • Plans of actions and milestones management (POA&M) experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in Master Production Scheduling
  • Demonstrated expertise in lean and six sigma principles
  • Experience working Missile Defense Agency programs with MAP/PMAP requirements

Education:
Required:

  • High school Diploma

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or mathematics

Skills:
Required:

  • Experience in IT or cybersecurity
  • Experience with network administration.
  • Experience with Linux and Windows.
  • Analytical and technical skills

Preferred:

  • CISSO, CISSP, or CISM

Other:
Required:

  • Must have ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S.

Citizenship)

  • Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time.

Preferred:

  • Currently holds an active DoD Secret Clearance
