NEC is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Information Systems Tech I. NEC is situated within the White Mountains of Arizona, 180 miles NE of Phoenix. It is a place of beautiful scenery and mild climate, with a small community atmosphere where you know your neighbors. The area abounds in opportunities for hiking, hunting, fishing and other outdoors sports.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide proactive technical support to all NEC employees; including area offices. Provide users instructions and basic training on using assigned hardware and software applications. Install, configure, maintain, repair, and inventory IT hardware and software as assigned which may include, but not limited to computers, mobile devices, printers, phones, A/V equipment, display TV’s, equipment used for credit card transactions etc.

Duties Include:

• Provide proactive technical support to all NEC employees with personal computer and associated software.
• Assist and demonstrate to employees with existing or new computer setup. Insure hardware and software meet specifications.
• Keep track of open support requests, resolutions and IT resource issues. Follow up to ensure issue(s) has been resolved.
• Meet service level agreement commitments to initial response and resolution times as set by management.
• Provides the necessary support to user problems, procedural or technical, hardware or software, and resolves application problems.
• Support, install, and configure applications and related hardware to support credit card transactions and Kiosk machines
• Monitor and maintain inventory to insure proper computer components and other IT related equipment, cables, and tools are on hand and initiate material requisitions for approval when needed.
• Help evaluate and recommend software and hardware which may provide more efficient solutions to NEC computing requirements.
• Support Dispatch with IT related needs such as the Weather Center.
• Provides emergency response to computer system failures as necessary.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate’s degree.

Previous Job Experience

• One year of work experience during which the skills and abilities to perform most or all of the position’s duties and responsibilities have been amply demonstrated at a consistent, competent level.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $56,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
