Overview

The Infrastructure Manager leads the stability and integrity of cloud and network infrastructure services, virtualization, data, and wireless networks. This role designs, develops, and monitors cloud services, local area (LANs), and wide area networks (WANs) across the organization. This position also leads the implementation and support of network hardware and software and is responsible to attract, develop, and retain top infrastructure talent to support the enterprise.

Responsibilities

  • Motivate and lead a high performing team; attract, recruit, and retain team members.
  • Mentor team members utilizing Strength Based Leadership Objectives.
  • Train and develop team members in all areas of job responsibilities, including laws, regulations, risk identification and management, software, and related updates.
  • Clearly communicate performance expectations to team members and address any deficiencies in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain trusted, positive relationships with employees, clients, and vendors.
  • Collaborate with business and technology leaders to identify strategic technology solutions. Develop innovative methods of exploiting new and existing IT assets to meet the requirements of the business.
  • Evaluate and recommend solutions for infrastructure cloud services and migration activities.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for cloud and network infrastructure administration, usage, and disaster recovery.
  • Lead infrastructure strategy and associated budget requirements with a multi-year plan and roadmap.
  • Lead the Disaster Recovery Planning (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) efforts as applicable for the infrastructure team.
  • Conduct appropriate design, development, documentation, and deployment of new technical IT solutions.
  • Implement lead and technical subject matter expert for new or upgraded software and equipment.
  • Manage and build strong relationships with third-party vendors.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to support proposed changes to IT infrastructure and ensure the changes made meet the required standards.
  • Interact and negotiate with vendors and contractors to secure appropriate products and services.
  • Develop business use cases, lead contract negotiations, and present technical solution to the business.
  • Configure and support the appropriate cloud infrastructure which includes data lake, compute, containerization, backups, automation, and other cloud services. Support data reporting and data analytics.
  • Work closely with development team to design and implement DevOps.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate creation and destruction of Infrastructure resources.
  • Monitor infrastructure costs and implements procedures to optimize usage of all resources.
  • Configure virtual infrastructure and network to ensure environment has redundancy and meets business requirements.
  • Ensure changes to IT infrastructure can be monitored and managed effectively.
  • Ensure network connectivity of all servers, workstations, telephony services, cloud infrastructure, and other network services.
  • Manage infrastructure servers, including database, e-mail, print, and backup servers and associated operating systems and software.
  • Create and maintain documentation as it relates to virtualization systems, network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.
  • Compile and provide relevant infrastructure metrics on a regular basis for management.
  • Responsible for escalation path within the infrastructure team.
  • Collaborate with peers and technology management to ensure appropriate technical and business solutions are implemented.
  • Partner with the Information and Cyber Security team to ensure the environment meets the network security requirements and protocols.
  • Represent the Bank and Information Technology team in a highly professional manner.
  • Complete job assignments in a professional, timely and efficient manner; organize and prioritize work.
  • Maintain confidentiality; adhere to CrossFirst Bank policies and procedures; comply with laws, regulations and industry best practices.
  • Reliable and predictable attendance; both on-site and remote work.

Qualifications

  • Proven hands-on experience and success with cloud infrastructure, LAN, WAN, and WLAN infrastructure design and implementation for a multisite national network.
  • Proven experience with network infrastructure capacity planning and general network management best practices.
  • Proven hands-on experience with DevOps tools and processes, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) implementation and support.
  • Proven hands-on experience with Azure cloud solutions and Azure tools implementation, configuration, optimization and support.
  • Experience with verbal and written presentations to a variety of audiences
  • Experience managing latest versions of Windows Server, including Windows infrastructure services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IAS, Printing Functions.
  • Merger and acquisition experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience administering Microsoft Office 365.
  • Experience with Windows and Third-Party security updates and patches.
  • Experience managing web content filtering and email security products.
  • Experience working with security and SEIM/MDR tools.
  • Experience with Key Vault implementation and management.
  • Detailed understanding of the concepts of IT security and deploying the appropriate security standards.
  • Experienced in team leadership and talent development.
  • Strong change management knowledge and experience.
  • Experience with understanding and optimizing business processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
  • Relevant IT certifications preferred.
