Overview

The duties of the Retail Attendant are to assist guests with clothing items and gift needs. Conduct inventory on a regular basis to ensure that all merchandise is accounted for. The Retail Attendant purpose is to ensure the level of service provided to the guest is highly individualized and that each guest feels that their comfort and convenience are the principle concerns of The Gasparilla Inn& Club. Pleasant work environment and bridge tolls covered.

Essential Job Functions

Maintain Complete Knowledge of:

Daily house count, VIP's, arrivals, departments

Scheduled group activities and locations within the hotel.

Proper use of respective tolls, equipment, and supplies in the job function.

Complete opening duties as assigned, following department/accounting procedures.

Organize and clean shop during shift as set forth in departmental standards removing all trash, cleaning/dusting work area and folding and refolding all retail items.

Display merchandise in a neat, eye appealing manner, making people want to buy.

Stock adn restock items during your entire shift.

Acknowledge guests and be able to answer guests' question about items.

Follow through with all guests and be able to answer guests questions about items.

Follow through with all guest requests as specified in hotel standards.

Monitor all guest activity in assigned work area; be alert to any signs of trouble. Notify Security at once.

Answer telephone within 3 rings with correct situations and phone etiquette.

Keep an accurate cash drawer.

Performs any other duties as assigned by the Retail Manager.
