INSIDE SALES SUMMARY:

The Inside Sales position sells medical, industrial and specialty gases, welding equipment and hard goods and tools to customers. This position responds to inquiries or concerns from either walk-in customers or those customers that call in, provides additional warehouse support, and works closely with a team of Account Managers to support customers.

RELIEF DRIVER SUMMARY:

As the "face of Airgas," the Relief Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers from an Airgas branch or plant location using a company-provided straight or box truck. The Delivery Driver loads, unloads, delivers, and returns compressed gas cylinders while frequently interacting with Airgas customers. This position will also require the Relief Driver to use technology, such as On Board Computers, collision avoidance technology, Lytx Camera technology and GPS navigation.

INSIDE SALES JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Inside Sales position sells medical, industrial and specialty gases, welding equipment and hard goods and tools to customers. This position responds to inquiries or concerns from either walk-in customers or those customers that call in, provides additional warehouse support, and works closely with a team of Account Managers to support customers. In particular, you will:

• Sell industrial gases, welding equipment, power and hand tools to customers.
• Ship an receive stock inventory and maintain showroom displays.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers
• Provide support for the field sales representative; research customer concerns.
• Operates the cash register.

RELIEF DRIVER JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Safely load, unload and deliver full and empty cylinders containing compressed gases to customer locations.
• Operate portable device to record products on manifest and obtain signatures from customers.
• Comply with Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and all government regulations including, but not limited to, those issued by the Department of Transportation (DOT), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), Food & Drug Administration (FDA), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
• Work in the warehouse or on the dock as needed.

INSIDE SALES QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or the equivalent ; Two (2) year degree preferred - Minimum of two (2) years' experience in customer service and/or sales experience. - Knowledge of welding, gases, industrial, safety supply sales preferred. - Adequate computer skills - Ability to handle cash transactions accurately - Lives by Airgas safety programs, OSHA, and all related rules, regulations, procedures which are applicable to this position's responsibilities.

RELIEF DRIVER QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Class A or B CDL / Valid Medical Examiner's Card / Hazmat & Airbrake Certification
• Must have one (1) year of prior Class A or B professional driving experience in the previous 12 months
• In lieu of experience, a diploma from an accredited (120 hrs.) driving school
• Must be able to obtain DISA credentials.
• Must be at least 21 years or older
