Haydan Consultants, Inc. is looking to hire an Inspector-On-Site Field Representative for a major NYSTU project in the Buffalo/Rochester area.

The On-Site Representative will be a primary point of contact, representing Haydan at the project sites. This individual will be responsible for providing overall on-site field administration, support, some supervision, inspection and technical management for construction operations.

The On-Site Representative will coordinate and execute the work, along with the Project Manager, in accordance with the plans/specifications and remain consistent with the project schedule.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Represents owner for all job-related issues
• Coordinates daily on-site construction activities of general contractor and other owner contractors
• Reviews and updates plans and specifications in detail
• Maintains continuous communication with the owner, contractor, and architect
• Observes the quality and progress of construction to determine that it is proceeding in accordance with the contract documents and schedule
• Creates and maintains project schedules
• Maintains and organizes job site and field office
• Maintains a log of all daily activities including daily progress, weather conditions, visitors, inspectors, sub-contractors on site, nature and location of work performed
• Responsible for documenting the project via photos
• Communicates with project manager and project team to advise them of known or anticipated problems
• Monitors work quality and oversees required corrective work
• Creates daily reports that detail weather and site conditions, contractor staffing, construction activities, and progress photos
• Reviews and maintains copies of all communications, documents, contracts, RFIs, change orders, record plans, and submittals
• Reviews certified payroll reports and maintaining report logs
• Assists with the coordination of the punch list process
• Maintains positive relationships with customers, contractors, and suppliers
• Communicates with abutters and other concerned citizens

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
