Role
The
O
n-site Install Technician
is responsible for providing product support and technical know-how to customers at assigned customer sites. Diagnoses and remedies faults, performs preventative maintenance, installs and commissions of products. Completes all tasks with precision while ensuring safe practices are upheld.

- Possess excellent customer interfacing and communication skills.
- Able to read engineering drawings and electrical diagrams. Competent in the use of test equipment including various test meters, hand tools, and power tools. Possess basic computer skills which includes thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- May be required to work in confined or awkward spaces for extended periods of time. Will be required to complete training to work at height (please confirm is this is correct word) using approved fall protection equipment.
- Successful completion of Physical Capability assessment required clean driving record.
- Fluency in written and spoken English. Ability to speak distinctly and see/hear clearly.
Main Responsibilities:
- Utilizes electromechanical skills to provide excellent service to customers.
- Performs installation and troubleshooting on vacuum pumps, abatement, gas and chemical delivery systems to maintain and increase revenue for both service and sales divisions.
- Participates in site safety programs to create a zero-hazard environment.
- Works professionally and develops customer relations.
- Demonstrates ability to understand detailed electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Understands and adheres to all site fab and Subfab protocol requirements.
- Comprehends the use of test equipment including various test meters, hand tools, and power tools.
- Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance; works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
- Respectfully takes direction from [supervisor/ manager]; other duties as assigned.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
HSD or GED
2+ years experience in electromechanical, manufacturing or as a Technician
Comfortability working in a Clean Room environment
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
AA Degree related field or equivalent 2 years Military experience in lieu of degree
1-3 years of equivalent experience in relevant technical field such as electronic, mechanical, chemical, gas, refrigeration or basic vacuum.
