RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist students with disabilities in general classrooms with assignments, accommodations, and other IEP specified support
- Assist classroom teacher with monitoring progress on assignments and developing necessary materials or manipulative objects to assist with instructional strategies
- Work with collaborative teachers as assigned or deemed appropriate
REQUIREMENT
- Must be a high school graduate or hold a GED certificate and have a minimum of 60 hours from an accredited college or university
- Must have experience related to working with students
- Must possess the ability to work well with others
- Flexibility in working with the total education team is necessary
- Must maintain confidentiality
- Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling and pushing
- Some lifting and physical assistance with students may be required
- Ability to move books, media equipment, assistive technology equipment and other classroom equipment
