Hope Christian Health Center is a non-profit, faith-based organization operating two clinics in North Las Vegas, a mobile outreach team, and the HCHC Recuperative Care Center (HCHC RCC) in Las Vegas.
The HCHC RCC is a 40 bed inpatient program that offers
primary care, case management, wound care, and other supportive services to clients who are homeless made possible through partnership with the City of Las Vegas.

JOB SUMMARY: The Insurance Eligibility and Sliding Fee Scale Coordinator participates in the delivery of excellent medical services in a patient centered medical home environment. This role serves to verify patient insurance eligibility for our various clinic locations, checking copay amounts, and the patients assigned primary care provider as needed. The Insurance Eligibility and Sliding Fee Scale Coordinator also reviews patient eligibility for the Sliding Fee Scale discount program. They assist patients with their application for the SFS program in a one-on-one setting by sensitively and accurately reviewing the provided application and supporting documentation, requesting corrections as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administrative Duties
- Promotes and demonstrates Hope values of:Gospel motivation, Prayer, Excellence, Stewardship, Patience, Thankfulness, Humility, Service, Dignity through Relationship and Hospitality and Joy
- Establishes if patient is eligible for Sliding Fee Scale
- Assists patients with application for the Sliding Fee Scale program in person in a one-on-one setting
- Verifies patient identity and insurance eligibility for each visit ensuring accuracy and completion
- Verifies Sliding Fee Scale status for each visit
- Reminds patients of documentation needed for SFS program such as ID, proof of income, letter of support, etc.
- Always maintains and ensures patient confidentiality
- Updates Electronic Medical Record system as needed changing co-pays, insurance information, PCP as applicable
- Contacts patient to clarify benefits and PCP coverage as needed
- Communicates errors made on insurance eligibility to the appropriate supervisory level staff
- Trains front desk staff on the Sliding Fee Scale program
- Obtains patient consent/signature(s) when necessary
- Ensures policies and procedures are followed
- Attends and actively participates in staff meetings
- Performs all other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 1 (one) year of insurance verification in a medical clinic or facility-required
- Fluency in Spanish-required
- Experience with a Sliding Fee Scale or similar program-preferred
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent-required
- Community Health Worker certification-preferred

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
