We currently have an opening for an experienced Insurance Verification Specialist to be a part of our Billing Office department. The right person will be efficient, a quick learner, self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented and a team player with a positive attitude. This position is full-time and requires someone who has prior customer service and medical office experience.
Job Duties:
- Verify patient's insurance coverage and obtain pre-authorization.
- Referral management.
- Answer questions from patients and insurance companies.
- Perform various collection actions such as claim submission, rejections and denials, payment posting as needed.
- Ensure that all billing is sent/transmitted, and that payments or reimbursements are received in a timely manner.
- Participate in educational activities and attend department meetings.
- Understand and adhere to the established office policies and procedures.
- Other duties/projects as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must have one (1) year experience in a medical office setting with billing/insurance verification.
- Ability to prioritize, problem solve, and multitask.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working with Electronic Health Records System, preferably NextGen is a plus!
- Certification in Billing & Coding is a great plus!

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
