The Intake Coordinator is a part of multidisciplinary Addiction Care team guiding and directing clients through the admission process via collaboration with the treatment team, clients, families, and outside referral sources. Intake Coordinators will play a key role in making each client feel welcome and ready for their treatment. The Intake Coordinators primary responsibility is to complete the EMR admissions process, maintaining data integrity and customer satisfaction. Intake Coordinators complete all designated intake forms in their entirety and record client information accurately. Intake Coordinators are responsible for keeping all members of the treatment team up to date regarding pertinent admission information and aid in streamlining the intake process for all departments. *Duties and Responsibilities* * Welcomes clients to the facility * Verifies patient demographic information * Completes all admissions paperwork and entering in EMR * Maintains data integrity for electronic medical records * Verifies medical insurance information for each patient * Updates benefits coordination as needed * Answers phone and email inquiries * Performs clerical work such as filing, copying, or faxing * Prepares and maintains patient charts * Complies with the regulations and policies of the facility * Obtains all pertinent ROI’s for emergency contact/legal/employment/referral programs * Provides transportation as needed * Provides exemplary customer service skills to inspire client admissions through outreach and encouragement with both clients and their loved ones. Educates clients on the benefits of substance abuse treatment in a supportive and compassionate tone * Maintains consistent communication with all parties regarding pertinent admission information via the designated organizational platforms. * Keeps patients safe by following safety policies, procedures, and regulations * Protects organization reputation by keeping information confidential and demonstrating consistent professionalism. *Minimum Qualifications and Skills Required* * 1+ years of experience performing intake coordination duties in a healthcare setting * Must be 21 years of age or older * Valid CPR, CPI, and First Aid certifications or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire * Valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire * Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging and dynamic environment * Experience in patient intake or medical office administration preferred * Strong affinity for customer service * Excellent organizational and time-management skills * Great communication skills * Proficient computer literacy * Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to maintain a positive collaborative relationship among all constituencies * Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook * Working knowledge of HIPAA PHI security requirements * Must be able to prioritize, multi-task, and problem-solve efficiently *Educational Requirements* * High School Diploma/GED *Additional Notes* * Prior experience working in behavioral health preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.50 - $20.50 per hour
