Inventory Control Associate Job at New York Mutual Trading, Inc.
We are currently seeking a candidate for an Inventory Control Associate who prides themselves on their attention to detail as well as extraordinary levels of service.

Responsibilities:
- Work in a freezer/cooler environment.
- Convert Kilogram to Pound. This is a daily task candidate needs to perform.
- Palletize and tag as needed.
- Report discrepancies between physical counts and computer records.
- Perform simple Math calculations.
- Investigate and correct discrepancies in reported quantities and locations of all inventory.
- Maintain manifest in an orderly Manner.
- Check merchandise for expiration and facilitate removal or transfer of merchandise as needed.
- Prepare, generate, and file physical inventory reports in EXCEL, review reports monthly with management.
- Maintain update actual inventory and BIN balance including BIN location mapping in EXCEL.
- Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures to maximize facility efficiency and cut operation costs.
What You Need to Have and Know:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic Math Skills
- Critical thinking skills
- Cycle Counting
- Leadership and coaching skills
- Strong empathy and interpersonal skills
- Experience conducting tracking and data analysis.
- Product and inventory management certification a plus
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
- Working knowledge of inventory management software (e.g. ERP)
- Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports
- Ability to deal with confidential information
- Ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner
- Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, and interpret the English language (Japanese and/or Spanish are a plus but not required)
- Ability to perform basic math skills
- Daily discipline and the ability to prioritize, which allows the individual to dominate their daily checklist
- Professionalism, accountability, accuracy, and integrity
- Ability to work and cooperatively with others
- Ability to work all assigned work schedules and comply with all time and attendance policies
- Detailed-oriented with excellent organization skills
- Proficiency in Excel
- Communicate with supervisors in various departments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
- Basic understanding of office equipment
- Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing
- Ability to work independently and identify and solve problems
