INVENTORY CONTROL MANAGER Job at DENISON LANDSCAPING, INC
Job description
Denison Landscaping is a family owned business in operation for more than 47 years. We have an immediate opening for the “INVENTORY CONTROL MANAGER” position located in our Abby Wholesale Division, located in Accokeek, MD. The job description is as follows but will not be limited to:
- Upkeep and maintenance of entire inventory in our software system
- Performing physical inventory checks on material in locations to ensure proper reflection in the software system
- Prepare inventory reports as requested for sales and production or accounting purposes
- Coordinate with wholesale manager and purchasing staff to maintain adequate inventory of items
- Assist sales staff in taking picture or verifying availability of items from time to time
- Receive incoming deliveries of items in the software system and file paperwork accordingly
- Perform full inventory counts and audits as needed
- Other duties as needed
Experience:
Horticulture/Landscape experience not required but preferred.
Physical requirements:
- Must pass a drug screen
- Standing for long periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
Additional requirements:
- Reliable transportation
- Focused and organized and have great communication skills
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) is a plus but not required.
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Prior inventory experience a must
- Prior use of SBI inventory software a plus but not required
- Knowledge of plant material very helpful but not required
- Must be able to work outdoors as well as indoors
- Must be able to work independently as well as with others
Work Schedule:
- Monday – Friday (7:30 AM – 4:30 PM)
- Peak season (March – Dec) work on Saturdays from 7 AM – 12 PM.
