The IT PM is responsible for ensuring successful implementation of approved program/project work through planning, scheduling, coordinating, managing all the aspects of the project. They will work directly with the key stakeholders on the affected trains to help realize the implementation. IT PM works directly with the Solution Train and Agile Release Train (ART) Solution and Product Management to facilitate defining the Features and Capabilities that realize the value of approved Epics. Responsible for reporting the progress of the Program or Epic’s MVP with Key Stakeholders and LPM. They may also have some responsibility for supporting the initiative as it moves downstream through the Continuous Delivery Pipeline to Release. Add note about status reporting.

Responsibilities:
Leadership

Leadership support for Program to manage interdependencies of Provider Owner Portfolio/Program Epic (Non-Provider Owned) to deliver solution derived from Solution Management.

Aligns with Solution Management on business objectives; supports Solution Train Leadership to translate objectives into digestible language for stakeholders of the ART.

Collaborates with other IT PMs\RTE’s to integrate new demands for prioritization and/or approval to proceed

Agile Program Management

Throughout execution of the PI, maintain visibility into interdependencies, taking escalations, managing risks and managing outcomes to achieve business value.

Helping the Solution/ART achieve a high level of performance and quality, holding teams accountable for their work, removing obstacles, and mentoring less experienced team members.

Ongoing responsibilities for supporting business partners with stewardship and follow-up of initiated Epics, ensuring the defined success criteria is realized, including IT and Business Operational Readiness.

Support decision making with Strategic Epic Owner (SEO) and Portfolio Solution Manager (PSM) regarding priorities, trade offs, including proposing ‘what if’ scenarios for decision when competing priorities exist.

Understand and report on the progress of the epic’s MVP with key stakeholders and LPM.

Coordinate and synchronize epic-related activities with Solution Managers, Product Managers, ART Leads and other business units.

Facilitates Pre-PI Planning and provides relevant business context in the defined PI agenda timebox

Support Product and Solution Management and System and Solution Architects/Engineering to decompose the epic into features and capabilities and help prioritize these backlog items in their respective program and solution backlogs.

Supporting the Solution and Product Management in managing communications with stakeholders, managing customer’s expectations for deliverables, and implementing an effective project governance system.

Participate in Program Increment (PI) Planning, System Demo, and Solution Demo, whenever there is critical activity related to the epic.

Support stakeholders on upcoming Epics, negotiating agreement of scope.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
8+ years’ experience as a delivery leader; strong IT application development & leadership background. Strong business acumen in health care payor space

At least 5 years’ direct, hands-on experience as release train engineer, or Agile Project/Program Manager.

At least 5 years’ direct, hands-on experience running a project management office, project delivery office, or Agile lean portfolio management office

Certified Scaled Agile Program Consultant (SPC)

Proven track record of delivering on large scale or multiple initiatives. Experience with all aspects of the delivery, including planning, capacity reviews, budget, features/user stories, design and delivery execution

Direct hands on experience leading multi-million dollar, cross functional initiatives, including master roadmap for work – note examples will be requested at interview

Proven ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to identify needs and evaluate alternative solutions and strategies

Servant leader and strong communicator with strong interpersonal skills to communicate at all levels of the organization, including VP levels

Mastery at ‘story telling’, utilizing tools such as Microsoft PowerPoint to efficiently and effectively drive decision making – Note: examples will be requested at interview

Ability to take complicated subjects and distill them down to salient points to drive decision making

Strong technical aptitude and experience leading teams in delivering quality software experience working in an Agile organization using Scrum, XP, Kanban, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), or other scaling model

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 118,200 - 197,000 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
