The IT Helpdesk Technician is responsible for coordinating, planning, and serving the day to day information technology needs of Ecovative. This role acquires technology for new employees, deploys technology assets to team members, troubleshoots laptop and PC issues, and supports users through training and education of the deployed assets.

Ecovative’s IT Helpdesk Technician will:

● Provide the highest quality customer service and technical assistance via in person or remote support.

● Assist with planning, organizing, evaluating, recommending, and implementing all IT and electronic operations to ensure all employees have functioning technology and are effective and responsible users.

● Properly track and triage issues and requests via a ticketing system, and escalate to the IT Manager as needed.

● Support in the deployment and maintenance of systems and tools as directed by the IT Manager.

● Aid in managing the organization’s IT assets (hardware, software, applications, security, phone systems, building security, etc.).

● Keep abreast on industry’s best practices, trends, processes, and tools. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional networks.

● Communicate professionally with third party vendors and external collaborators.

● Provide trainings, when necessary, on current technology tools, best practices, and new platforms.

● Assist with technology onboarding/offboarding of employees through asset and account management.

● Stay up to date on all IT and Electronic Workplace Policies.

Minimum Qualifications:

● Experience with the following:

  • Google Workspace
  • Microsoft 365
  • Dropbox
  • Zoom
  • MacOS, Windows, iOS

● Basic understanding of network technologies

● Basic/Intermediate understanding of Apple and Windows

● High attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively

● Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of the organization and collaborate well in a team

● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), professional demeanor and presentation

● Strong problem-solving skills, takes initiative and uses good judgment, excellent follow-up skills

● Provide outstanding client service, meet high quality standards for services and meet or exceed client expectations. Proactive in seeking innovative ways in which to help others

● Candidate must be a self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision

● Recognize confidential, sensitive, and proprietary information and maintain such information as confidential

● Position also requires the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines, effectively prioritize multiple tasks

● Proven experience as high level help desk support

● Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, organization-wide security, and of computer hardware/software systems

● Expertise in IT asset management, data governance, and inventory control

● Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation

● Experience training users and sharing updated best practices

● Experience interfacing with and managing relationships with third party vendors

● Experience troubleshooting IT assets

Minimum Education / Experience:

● Associate’s degree in information technology, MIS, computer science or related field with a minimum of one (1) year in an IT asset support role. -OR- A minimum of three (3) years’ experience managing IT assets, troubleshooting IT equipment will be considered in lieu of education.
