Our client is seeking individual for IT inventory management and Business Continuity Plan (BCP) management; experience with IT inventory software, preferably SAP and Remedy is desired. IT inventory management duties include software data input, report generation, shipping and receiving of IT hardware, and organization of inventory rooms. BCP duties include software data input, report generation, creation of department plans through interviews/meetings with department managers, updating of plans, IT application testing and documentation, and support of BCP datacenters and corporate office locations. Support of emergency events as described in the corporate BCP.

W2 Employment only.

Long term Contract- 1 year plus

Location – Houston Downtown- Need to be onsite.

IT INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

Inventory Management

• Submit PO requests to procurement
• Submit forms to and verify results in SAP and Asset Management.
• Review reporting for accuracy
• Review and request changing MIN\MAX levels as necessary
• Organize inventory rooms

Goods Receipt

• Validate hardware to match with packing slip or vendor data
• Within SAP receive hardware shipped from vendor
• Submit serialized asset request if hardware has not been set up with SN in SAP
• Submit new material item request
• Submit new location set-up

Asset Management

• Prepare for, and assist during ITAM Audits
• Manage End of Life equipment
  • Update status of end-of-life equipment in ITAM from ‘deployed’ to ‘EOL’
  • Relocate hardware from inventory to the surplus storage room
• Coordinate surplus pickups and enter disposal Change Requests for approval
• Coordinate hardware returns to vendor (RMA)
• Conduct and coordinate disposal pick-ups, manage the CRQ process

Shipping

• Process hardware requests and prepare equipment for shipment
• Within ITAM change status from ‘in inventory’ to ‘transferred’ per shipped CI
• Enter shipping INCs in order to keep track of shipments

Other duties as assigned could include

• Maintain standards on network equipment
• Submitting SRM form requests for new hardware orders (non-inventory orders)
• Coordinate offboarding Change Requests to ensure timely equipment pickups
• Address quality issues in Asset data, involving ITAM and Remedy teams as needed.
• Participate in ITAD vendor evaluations

BCP MANAGEMENT SUPPORT

BCP application administration

• Maintain accurate information in BCP Web-based application – locations, departments, security profiles, users, documents.

BCP yearly test support- Assist with coordination and execution of year BCP tests – BCP application and location-scenario testing.

New BCP department setup -Submit questionnaire to department manager of department being added to BCP, schedule department setup meetings, add department information to BCP application.

New BCP application setup - Schedule new BCP application setup meetings with IT, assist in creation of BCP IT run book in BCP application.

BCP Audits - Assist with BCP audits as required.

BCP Locations Support

BCP Events -Support of critical personnel during actual BCP event.
