Job Description

The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing daily IT operations and managing the resolutions of help desk support tickets. This role reports to the Director of Information Systems and Technology. This candidate is solution focused and consistently supports the business by finding resolutions and gathering feedback. They possess strong communication and organizational skills with an aptitude for learning quickly and effectively. They must be flexible, highly self-motivated, and be able to anticipate the needs of both individuals and the organization and improve the system/processes that support the entire organization.

Responsibilities

Overall duties include, but are not limited to:

• Oversee daily IT operations including dispatching team members to meet the location needs and complete help desk support tickets
• Report on the resolution of the help desk support tickets and time to close to meet internal SLA’s
• Lead development and implementation processes for the organizations IT systems and department
• Develop and implement business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss
• Oversee security systems and networks and develop strategies to mitigate security risks
• Assess the need for new equipment and software
• Analyze IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements and other metrics and needs.
• Build and manage a team to support and coordinate the IT needs of the business and its initiatives
• Build strong cross-functional relationships
• Ensure smooth delivery and operation of IT services by providing exceptional service to the staff and managing the company help desk
• Manage external IT partners/vendors to meet the deadlines and expectations of the organizational projects and initiatives of the IT department
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional and operations teams
• Responsible for documenting and tracking inventory and assets
• Manage IT needs for in-store communications related to message board technology and updates
• Other duties as designed

Education & Skills

Required

• 5+ years’ experience in a high-level IT role
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• Excellent understanding of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems and telecommunication systems
• Ability to think independently and demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills
• Strong decision-making, analytical and leadership skills
• Good organizational, time management skills with sharp attention to detail
• Highly self-motivated and directed by being a great team player with integrity and a strong work ethic
• Excellent written/spoken English communication skills
• Aptitude to learn quickly and effectively
• Ability to follow instructions and accomplish tasks as directed
