MHC Healthcare is seeking an IT Manager to join our Information Technology team at the MHC Marana Main Health Center, located in the heart of Marana, AZ. The IT Manager is a front-line manager, responsible for the direction and workflow of the department. Responsible for continuous operation of telecommunication networks, phone and internet communication, software applications and disaster and recovery (DR) function according to specifications. MHC Healthcare is a Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC), with 16 sites in Tucson and Pima County. The following qualifications are required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
- 2 years’ experience managing networdk, systems, DR or managing and directing staff/vendors
- 6 years of directly relevant work experience, to include full support of mid to large sized systems, desktop or server configuration and support, hardware and software
- Current Arizona driver’s license with clean driving record and proof of current vehicle insurance (39-month MVR will be run by MHC)
- Microsoft System Engineer (MCSE) or System Administrator (MCSA)
- Six Sigma or similar project management certification
- Microsoft System Engineer (MCSE) and/or System Administrator (MCSA)
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and/or Network Professional (CCNP)
- Current certifications in either a vendor-sponsored discipline (Microsoft, Cisco,) or a vendor-neutral discipline (CompTIA, (ICS)2, PMI)
- Experience managing IT security in a healthcare environment

The ideal candidate will also possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems, Microsoft Windows Server family, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft SQL, Internet Information Systems (IIS), Active Directory and Group Policy, VPN, remote access and Terminal Server configuration and support.
- Functional knowledge of IP addressing protocols, LAN and WAN configurations, HRIS, and cloud computing systems.
- Knowledge of Storage Area Network (SAN) host, fabric and storage concepts.
- Basic telecommunications knowledge, including VoIP, cloud computing services, PBX systems and cable distribution systems.
- Knowledge and understanding of network security software and protocols.
- Understanding of healthcare requirements includng HIPAA and other quality standards.
- Demonstrated ability to manage, lead and communicate goals and project tracking with technical staff members to achieve department objectives.
- Thorough knowledge of project management processes, to include initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling projects.
- Ability to cultivate a culture of respect and service excellence through professionalism, skilled communication, and demonstrated commitment to integrity, trust, respect, and equity.
- Proven effective leadership with demonstrated ability to effectively direct, delegate, motivate, and build high-performing, collaborative teams.
- Manages department staff through leading by example, understanding technical concepts, application of team building efforts, and enforcing accountability for each team member performance in reaching stated department goals.
- Collaborates with Chief information Officer and Health Information Systems Manager to define goals, implement best practices, and meet project deadlines.
- Coordinates with MHC leadership to support operational needs and manages IT projects to sustain MHC operations and growth.
- Creates and manages short- to mid-range department goals aimed at creating a highly functional department.
- Manages LAN, Intranet, and Internet applications.
- Manages all operating systems and their corresponding software.
- Manages installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and resolution of all hardware issues on workstations, servers, laptops, printers, scanners, network faxing, hand-held devices, routers, and switches, as well as addresses wireless connectivity issues via remote and onsite support.
- Manages Active Directory administration, account maintenance, permissions, and access rights.
- Plans, schedules, and performs network and security audits, ensuring security system backup and disaster recovery procedures are followed; plans and implements new measures as needed.
- Manages troubleshooting and resolution of software issues for a variety of software applications and operating systems.
- Manages performance of preventive maintenance routines on servers and workstations.
- Participates in development of IT policies as assigned, to include design, updates, and approvals.
- Schedules, leads, and conducts department meetings on a routine basis to ensure staff are well-informed and have the group guidance necessary to excel.
- Works with vendors and other organizations to assess needs, negotiate service contracts and pricing, support agreements, and monitor contract renewals.
- Participates in development of departmental budget and manages projects according to planned and approved budgets and schedules.
- Plans, implements, and supports the network and computing infrastructure.
- Presents and implements technological alternatives to streamline functions and improve productivity.
- Develops and maintains an excellent working relationship with other organizations as well as vendors, ensuring the organization is well received and presented professionally and positively.
