• The security analyst must have at least 5+ years of progressive experience in computing and information security, including experience with Internet technology and security issues.
• Experience should include security policy development, security education, network penetration testing, application vulnerability assessments, risk analysis and compliance testing.
• Knowledge of federal information security standards, rules and regulations related to information security and data confidentiality and desktop, server, application, database, network security principles for risk identification and analysis.
• Performs security event and incident correlation using information gathered from a variety of sources within the enterprise. Performs cyber incident triage to include determining scope, urgency, and potential impact; identify the specific vulnerability and makes recommendations which enable expeditious remediation.
• Tracks cyber actions from initial detection through final resolution. Analyzes and assesses damage to the data / infrastructure and performs cyber engineering trend analysis.
• Investigates security incidents and escalates when necessary. Handles Work Incident Response and Administrative tickets. Performs and develops data mining queries using Splunk/Splunk ES.
• Communicates in a clear and concise manner with leadership, customers and peers. Monitors and responds to multiple shared mail distributions. Provides vulnerability, threat, and risk mitigation support.
• Monitors Security Operations Dashboards for alerts and supports daily Operations briefings. Supports customer defined metrics reports and government data calls.
• Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent communication (oral, written, presentation), interpersonal and consultative skills.
• Experience creating PowerShell scripts to analyze high volume of data

• A minimum of (5) years of demonstrated experience in the Information Security (Cybersecurity or Information Assurance) field.
• Experience with Splunk and SIEM configuration and analytics
• Experience developing policies and procedures for cybersecurity management for federal systems
• Experience developing and maintaining a vulnerability management program for federal systems
• Experience identifying and analyzing network intrusions; supporting computer forensic analysis

• CISSP is highly preferred

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree Information Management, or related field

Clearance:

• The ability to obtain a government moderate background security clearance

• The pay for this position ranges from $87,075 to $161,250.
• The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
