Job Overview:

MGM Energy is seeking an IT Specialist. The ideal candidate must have experience managing multiple projects from start to finish. Additional experience configuring and deploying servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and VoIP. Must have experience with network configuration, firewalls, audits, network issues, VPN connections, mobile device configuration, workstations, and iPods.

• The IT Specialist reports to Operation Manager and Director.

The Position:

We’re looking for an IT Specialist. Part-Time, Contract, Hybrid Remote. Must have the ability to be onsite when required. The pay range is $20- $25 per hour DOE.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Design, configure and deploy servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and VoIP.
• Provide advanced technical escalation support to the team to resolve user PC, email, internet, and LAN access problems
• Resolves network performance issues by network monitoring and analysis, performance tuning, troubleshooting network problems, and escalating to vendors.
• Provide support for complex windows domain models and user profile-related issues
• Secures network by auditing client’s servers and network to ensure network access standards.
• Prepares users and staff by designing and conducting training programs and providing references and support.
• Work directly with vendor support, working through diagnostics and implementing the solution.
• Resolves network performance issues by troubleshooting network problems and escalating them within the team and to the vendor.
• Troubleshoot and become familiar with various types of client/industry-specific software
• Provide support for the windows domain model and user profile-related issues
• Maintain and monitor distributed backup systems
• Ensure the confidentiality, security, and data integrity of client information at all times
• Provide efficient and timely resolutions to customer support cases
• Ability to prioritize service tickets by urgency
• Ability to accurately track time and services performed during the day
• Analyze and isolate issues.
• Maintain the integrity of the network, server deployment, and security.

Requirements:

• Must have an active California Driver’s License
• Clean driving record
• Highly creative, analytical, organized, and detail-oriented.
• Strong organizational skills
• Relevant College, trade school, or certification program required.
• Two-year experience in PC Repair/Support, System engineering, IT administrative roles, or similar functions.
• Network infrastructure hardware and software certification preferred.
• Reliable transportation
• Must have strong communication skills
• The ability to multitask and work under pressure
• Experience working with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Defender 365, and Firewall software
