Network Technician (IT Support/Cyber Security)
Duties and Essential Job Functions
- Daily interaction with variety of clients and environments
- ESET management and administration – PC and server virus protection
- Cisco ASA Firewall management
- Carbon Black management and administration – threat detection and response
- Cisco Umbrella – DNS Layer Security for corporate network
- Cyber Security Risk assessment and threat management (KnowB4, CISA, InfraGard)
- Document, test, and support server operating systems to enhance efficiency and reliability
- Disaster recovery planning, implementation and testing
- Diagnose and remedy network and user issues
- Software patches and upgrades
- Group policies (User, group and machine security)
- Must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication
- Must be a team player and build good working relationships across all functions
- Ability to bend, stoop and carry at least 50lbs
- Must be able to climb ladder
- Must have NC driver’s license
- Must be willing to work outside in all weather conditions
Required Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 3+ years experience in network engineering
- 3+ years desktop support
- 3+ years operating systems experience (Windows, Mac, and/or Linux)
- 3+ years Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems (Server 2008, Server 2012)
Experience & Education
- College diploma or university degree in computer science or related field or
- 5+ years Server Administrator experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft SQL DBA
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) or Microsoft Solutions Associate (MSCA)
- Experience in Virtualization products (Hyper-V, VMWare, Citrix)
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Additional
- Position does require being on-call, currently there is a 7-week rotation
- Some nights, weekends and overtime are required
- Company vehicle is furnished
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.39 - $31.60 per hour
