Touchmark at Fairway Village has an opening for a Janitorial position. This position is unique, in that it requires a mix of excellent problem solving, good judgment, and people skills that come with being a first responder and security person, and the physical work involved with janitorial duties. This position also provides some security in the form of walking the building, checking doors, being alert and aware of others in the building, and checking in with on-duty employees. The janitorial duties include taking out trash, checking supplies in publicly accessible restrooms, cleaning common areas, moving furniture, and general cleaning.

Sunday – Thursday
11:00pm – 7:30am

Position Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Clean offices, treating carpets, empty trash, take out recycling as needed.
• Keep supervisor apprised of all changes in equipment performance and of the need for supplies
• Maintain a safe environment, free of physical hazards, and maintain the security and safety of the premises including building-walks, checking exterior doors, doing sweeps of the grounds, and checking exterior gates.

Key requirements of this position:

• Patient tactful, and flexible when dealing with residents, family members, volunteers, visitors, physicians, staff members and the general public
• Willingness to perform a variety of repetitive tasks – carpet experience is a plus!
• Adherence to the Touchmark Gold Standards of behavior and performance, including Excellence, Teamwork, Hospitality, Integrity, and Compassion.
• Must have current Adult CPR/First Aid/AED certification through Red Cross or American Heart Association, or willing to obtain certification (at our cost, through our on-site trainers.)
