The GIS Analyst role facilitates user access and workflows within the Enterprise GIS environment. The GIS Analyst will provide baseline knowledge of GIS user workflows within hosted GIS desktop software and web-based software. This role will work with various teams to meet the client requirements, manage user access and accounts, troubleshoot issues, provides support information and documentation. This role will communicate directly with end users by phone and email to gather information and suggest potential fixes. This role will have an escalation path for technical issues to the Middleware and Database teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong IT/technical background including 2+ years of Enterprise GIS experience, and a working knowledge of geospatial analysis using Esri and other industry standard tools.


Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and customer service to end users in an ArcGIS
  • Enterprise environment through phone and email
  • Experience creating web mapping applications using Web App Builder
  • Experience publishing web maps, apps, and services in Portal for ArcGIS environment
  • Experience updating existing web maps and web apps
  • Knowledge of Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS, Collector for GIS, ArcGIS GeoEvent
  • Server, ArcGIS Pro, Survey 123, Operations Dashboard, Insights and ESRI
  • Story Maps
  • Work directly with end users to facilitate their workflows and conduct troubleshooting of technical issues.
  • Document new user requirements and requests in ticketing system. Track all work utilizing enterprise systems and tools.
  • Work within Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) framework.
  • Perform user account management in Active Directory. Manage user file permissions. Manage and track system access and security documentation.
  • Provide support for commercial off the shelf technologies and custom applications within the enterprise environment.
  • Provide Tier 1 support for users of ArcGIS Desktop, ArcCatalog, and other applications in a Citrix environment. Document issues in tickets for escalation to other resources as necessary.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with GIS data structures, desktop workflows, web map services.
  • Demonstrate experience with Portal for ArcGIS applications and workflows.

Qualifications

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain relevant security credentials as determined by the customer to access the worksite and computer systems 5+ Years Experience Utilizing or Supporting ESRI ArcGIS
