Russell Stover is looking for a Jr. Production Artist to join our creative team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating best in class production ready files for our brands. This is a file prep heavy role, responsible for implementing and updating print ready files within existing template(s). You will need to have a basic eye for color with the desire to learn more about color management. This role requires a strong bias to action, color discrimination competency, excellent organizational skills, and very strong attention to detail. This person is ultimately responsible for 1) understanding the design intent from the designer and 2) delivering accurate, print ready files to vendors for consistent print quality on shelf.

Key responsibilities include:

• Packaging Updates and Design Implementation
• Packaging copy updates to reflect current labeling requirements
• Implementation based on customer style guides
• Implementation of flavors and versions across established templates
• Leadership Skills
• Timely communication
• Effective collaboration with designers to understand design intent
• Clear communication with outside vendors and internal cross functional partners

Required Experience:
•

• Clear understanding of print techniques and vendor capabilities
• File prep to ensure files are print production ready
• Set up files consistent with RS standards
• Reviewing proofs for content and color
• Understanding of design layout on packaging/engineering drawings
• Ensure files are accurate to final design execution and consistent with existing templates (i.e. proportionate from sku to sku)
• Basic knowledge of color
• Type and design proofing
• Software and Education Requirements:
• Mastery of Illustrator and Photoshop
• Working knowledge of Excel, Word and InDesign
• Degree in Graphic Design/Production or experience in CPG/corporate creative packaging creation
