To keep pace with their expanding technology offerings, they are adding to our programming / systems staff. The Technology Associate will assist in the development, building, testing, and maintenance of hardware, infrastructure, and software that meet the needs of their growing client base.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure operational consistency for clients by working with other team members to define and implement standards for software, operating system, and hardware maintenance.

• Understand the needs of stakeholders, research technologies, convey new knowledge to team members, implement creative solutions that address issues presented.

• Test hardware and software via unit testing, empirical (smoke) testing, data analysis, and other methods.

• Identify and track technical issues ensuring that updates are tested and deployed.

• Learn the structures, methodology, and roadmaps for their existing proprietary software and hardware solutions.

• Design and implement small software programs or components (modules) for existing programs.

• Support users and colleagues, by responding to email, phone, and direct requests, thorough commenting, documentation, and training.

• Ensure that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats.

• Additional duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in a technical or a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) field

• 1-3 years professional experience required (not including internships, school projects, etc.)

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Expertise in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving problems

• Keen attention to detail

• Excellent time management skills; the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time

• Proficiency in one or more of these development languages: PHP, C++, C#

• Web Application development skills (HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery, AJAX, etc.)

• Comfort working in Windows and Linux shell environments

• Demonstrated experience working with version control systems (svn, git) in a team environment

• Understand the challenges faced when dealing with PII, PCI, and PHI.

• Proven ability to work as a team member and individually

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer service ethos

• Ability to understand and analyze data

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Relevant experience with developing relational databases using MySQL (or similar)

• Experience implementing hardware and software API’s

• Advanced cybersecurity experience

• Experience with unattended transactions and payments

• Experience using creativity to develop ways to automate and improve processes

• Experience working with AWS services
