An excellent opportunity awaits a skilled administrative and clerical assistant. As an Office Assistant 3 for the Pension Benefits and Social Security Offset Unit in the Insurance Services, you will assist and provide support to those who are providing payment of benefits to injured workers who are totally or permanently disabled or have died as a result of an industrial injury or occupational disease.

Duties


Some of what you will do:


  • Process data-entry requirements and initiate pension reserve records in the pension-benefit payment system.
  • Maintain recipient benefit flows by reviewing annual entitlement.
  • Update and process changes to records.
  • Provide excellent customer service to callers on the multi-line telephone queue by answering questions and taking messages.
  • Participate in peer-to-peer quality assurance reviews to ensure accuracy of data entry.
  • Provide word processing support for adjudicative staff.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ customer service experience.
  • Ability to type 40 words per minute, accounting for errors.

Desired:
  • Experience working with a multi-line telephone queue system.
  • Intermediate computer skills to include working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of proper business correspondence construction, including grammar and layout.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Competent in performing multiple competing priorities and returning to incomplete tasks.
  • Prior experience with process improvements.
