We’re looking for an experienced Lab Client Service Rep to join our extraordinary team at University of Maryland Shore Regional Health.

Job Summary:

Performs various clerical functions, including billing, patient registration, coding, communication of test results, etc. to support Laboratory client services. Performs the receipt, logging, unpacking and delivery of lab specimens to the appropriate area. Coordinates activities, as necessary, with other Hospital departments and off-site ventures that utilize the Laboratory's services. Maintains a record keeping system.

What You Need to Be Successful:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • A minimum of two years of business/clerical experience, preferably in a healthcare setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to type at least 30 w.p.m. with keyboard familiarity experience with automated system, basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.

  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
