Pinnacle Oil is a fully integrated, independent lubricant manufacturer and packager located in Park 100 on the Northwest side of Indianapolis. Started in 1987, Pinnacle is rapidly expanding and needs additional Team Members to reach its strategic growth goals.

The Lab Technician is responsible for routine QC activities. This includes but is not limited to QC testing, maintaining QC Lab Records and Lab Housekeeping. This Laboratory position resides inside a manufacturing plant.

We are currently seeking a Lab Technician to join our 2nd shift. 2nd shift is scheduled from 5pm to 2:00am.

Responsibilities

· Testing Raw Materials, Blend Samples, Line flush Samples and Bulk Truck Samples

· This includes data entry of sample test results, filling out and issuing and/or filing appropriate paperwork

· Responsible for general maintenance and calibrating instrumentation

· Logging in Used Oil Information as samples arrive

· Performing appropriate testing analysis

· Data Entry of test results

· Submitting Oil Analysis Report to Customer

· Responsible for keeping the lab clean and making work environment safe

· Other Assigned projects

· Assist with training new lab technicians

Work Performed

· Knowledge of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo. This includes uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods

· Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times

· Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems

· Using scientific rules and methods to solve problems

Qualifications and Work Experience Requirements

· Science coursework and / or previous lab experience

· Strong mathematical skills and understanding of weights and measurement conversions

· Ability to lift 40 pounds and to stand & bend

· Stable work history

· Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
