SUMMARY
Alpha Testing, a Universal Engineering Science (UES) company, is looking for a concrete Lab Technician to assist with construction materials testing (CMT) and sample tracking of materials used in exciting projects from infrastructure to hi-rises around the Dallas area! As a concrete lab technician, you will provide a vital step in the overall building process, ensuring that the structural materials used during construction meet all necessary quality benchmarks. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Break concrete cylinders- Test soil samples
- Label concrete cylinders, beams, prisms or cubes.
- Determine unit weights (if needed)
- Cap cylinders, prisms, and cubes
- Ensure specimens are cured properly and for the correct amount of time
- Enter row data into internal system for management’s review and reporting
- Monitor equipment for calibration purposes
- Report calibration status to management
