Overview

HPC Industrial in Deer Park, TX is looking for a Lab Technician to assists with the sample preparation and analysis toward determining waste materials’ chemical and physical properties though chromatography and spectroscopy techniques.

The schedule for this role will be: Mon-Fri, 8-9 hrs a day; day shift; with a possibility of a start time of around 5:30am on some days.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Knows how to run bench tests,
• Knows how to run Lab analysis on sludges
• Knows how to work with separations equipment center fuses and filter press/cut press
• Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
• Prepares samples for analysis on various analytical laboratory instruments;
• Helps to maintain and troubleshoot the lab equipment as needed;
• Assist with properly managing the waste generated from analytical procedures;
• Always maintain a clean work area and safe working environment that complies with all applicable OSHA regulations;
• Other duties as assigned by management.
  

Qualifications

What does it take to work for HPC Industrial?

• High School Diploma or equivalent required;
• Bachelor's Degree in Science preferred;
• Lab experience (lab work for oil and gas industry) preferred;
• Excellent communication and organization skills;
• Proficiency with basic computer applications;
• Ability to document, record, and analyze data and information.
