Spuntech in Roxboro, NC is seeking highly motivated, results-driven candidates to join our team as a Laboratory Quality Technician. Successful candidates must be self-driven, flexible, and willing to work any shift.

Description of Duties
The Laboratory Quality Technician will:

• Inspect and test specialized products and materials outside of regular production, including raw materials, purchased parts and components, in-process products, and finished products for quality, purity, or compliance with specifications.
• Record and report results.
• Use Written specifications in coordination with precision measuring instruments, devices, or gauges to ensure conformance with standards.
• Check accuracy of gauges, scales and other measuring instruments.
• Perform analysis on quality and production data using appropriate software and draw conclusions to improve processes. This includes creating bar and line charts, histograms, using statistical control charts, etc.
• Present information on data analysis using Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Have full knowledge of the ISO 9000 standard and documented Quality System. Assist others in understanding the system.
• Support the Quality System by performing audits, assist in developing audit schedules and checklists, writing and maintaining documentation, manage corrective and preventive action system by ensuring all employees are following the defined process.
• Track and trend corrective actions.
• Perform any other duties as requested by Quality Manager.
• Support the company’s quality and safety initiatives.

In addition the Laboratory Quality Technician will have:

• High school diploma or GED, with two year Laboratory Technology degree preferred.
• Two to five years of experience as a Laboratory Technician preferred, with experience in medical or textile facility a plus.
• Experience in a continuous manufacturing facility a plus.
• Experience with ISO 9000 and Total Quality Management a plus · Ability to perform tasks using Microsoft Office software.
• Proficient in the English language with excellent reading, writing and data management skills.
